Over the years, IMDEX Asia has established itself as a leading naval and maritime security event in the Asia-Pacific region. It is now widely regarded as an important platform that brings together global decision-makers and thought leaders to connect, exchange insights, and explore new areas of collaboration.
At IMDEX Asia 2023, participants can expect robust discussions on a range of topics related to maritime security in the region as well as the sharing of best practices through a line-up of conferences, forums and demos. A host of exhibits, tech talks and demos will also ensure that participants remain plugged into the latest technological developments and solutions. With its exciting and comprehensive programme, I am confident that IMDEX Asia will continue to promote strategic conversations and advance innovation for the naval and maritime security industry. My colleagues and I look forward to meeting our counterparts from around the world, as we collectively navigate uncharted waters of challenges and opportunities.
On that note, I would like to wish all participants a fruitful time at IMDEX Asia 2023, and to our foreign delegates an enjoyable stay in Singapore.

The oceans in the Indo-Pacific remain essential arteries of global commerce and Southeast Asia’s maritime zones are key sources of regional heritage and economic vitality. Yet a wide range of dangers lurk in these waters.
To ensure our maritime spaces remain safe and stable, the International Maritime Security Conference 2023 assembles acknowledged thinkers and practitioners to consider options to engender greater cooperation amongst friends and partners. The aim is for us to emerge stronger as a maritime community devoted to enduring peaceful use of the seas and waterways for the benefit of all.
The S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) seeks to develop thought leadership and strategic thinking on issues related to peace and stability, and their ramifications for the maritime domain. We are proud to co-host IMSC 2023 with the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and we welcome all delegates and participants to Singapore and partake in fruitful exchanges at IMSC 2023 and IMDEX Asia.
We are especially pleased to highlight the expansion of the event to include more representatives from enforcement agencies and coast guards. This is a development that comes in parallel to greater regional coast guard participation at the Information Fusion Centre (IFC) in Singapore. As national agencies dedicated to improving maritime governance, they play a critical role in building the safe and secure maritime space we all require. We are glad that IMSC is a venue where the maritime security community can come together to ponder our maritime future collectively. We wish all participants a productive visit to IMSC 2023.

Deputy Chief Executive,Singapore Tourism Board (STB) |
On behalf of Singapore Tourism Board, I would like to congratulate Experia Events for successfully organizing IMDEX Asia 2023. Singapore is once again delighted to welcome representatives from global militaries, trade partners and delegates to our sunny island. With the Asia Pacific region being the world’s largest naval markets, maritime safety and security will be key to sustain international trade and other offshore economic activities in the region. Congregating the largest grouping of Asia’s naval and maritime markets, with global attendance from the highest echelons in military and government circles, IMDEX Asia 2023 will serve as the key platform to promote strategic conversations between governments, navies and thought leaders from the industry, in exploring new frontiers and partnerships to accelerate business growth. While in Singapore, I encourage delegates to find some time to explore the city and what it has to offer. For those looking to recharge and rejuvenate, I suggest checking out wellness experiences such Palm Avenue Float Club – Singapore’s first and only float club for flotation therapy, or The Singing Bowl Gallery – a sound healing therapy session using Himalayan singing bowls. I also recommend the recently launched Mr Bucket Chocolaterie, a bean to bar experiential concept or to explore our City in Nature through our beautiful parks and island sanctuaries such as Singapore Botanic Gardens and Pulau Ubin. To all delegates, I wish you a fruitful visit to IMDEX Asia 2023 and a memorable stay in Singapore. |

A very warm welcome to IMDEX Asia 2023. Our environment is increasingly more complex today. And in such times, it is more important than ever for us to stand together in solidarity to work towards having safe and secure seas in the Asia-Pacific and across the world. As a naval and maritime defence community, we have much to discuss, resolve and explore. IMDEX Asia is a key strategic platform that brings the ecosystem together to discuss issues, forge partnerships and networks and explore ways to innovate and drive progress. Central to IMDEX Asia, is the International Maritime Security Conference (IMSC). The attendance of more than 450 attendees from the naval defence sector to promote mutual understanding and collaboration underscores the region’s commitment to our common goal of safe and secure seas in the Asia-Pacific. Cutting-edge technology is key at IMDEX Asia 2023. For a start, the inaugural IMDEX Asia Innovation Challenge, which has scouted the world for the brightest start-ups with potential to transform our industry, will be pitching their solutions to a distinguished panel of senior naval stakeholders. While at Tech Talks, companies will showcase their latest technological developments in maritime and unmanned innovations. And we certainly continue to cultivate a robust pipeline of future talents at the Talent Campus. Our future mariners who are seeking careers in the naval and maritime defence industry will get a holistic insight on required education and preparation from leading tertiary institutions such as Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Singapore Institute of Technology and the Singapore University of Technology and Design. With the presence of 22 Navy Chiefs, Coast Guard Directors and Heads of Maritime Law Enforcement Agencies from 38 countries, together with 22 foreign warships from 13 countries, over 250 participating companies showcasing their latest technologies, and more than 11,000 trade delegates from over 60 countries/regions, IMDEX Asia 2023 promises to strengthen our ecosystem, as we begin our conversations and networking at IMDEX Asia 2023. I would like to thank all our partners for their invaluable support – the Republic of Singapore Navy, the Defence Science and Technology Agency, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies and the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau. I wish you a rich and rewarding time at IMDEX Asia 2023. |

Managing Director,Experia Events Pte Ltd |
Welcome to IMDEX Asia 2023. So much has changed since we last met. Despite unprecedented challenges that we were all confronted with in recent years, we have all shown resilience and strength in the face of adversity. And IMDEX Asia remains steadfastly committed to its mission of bringing naval and maritime defence’s finest together. It gives me great pleasure to welcome many firsts to IMDEX Asia 2023: country pavilions of Denmark, Italy and the USA making their debut participation; the Australia pavilion returning with a bigger presence after a 10-year hiatus; and Singapore presenting its largest ever country pavilion. And to our new and long-standing loyal exhibitors, thank you very much for your support, presence and participation at IMDEX Asia 2023. Collectively, the presence of over 250 participating companies from 25 countries/ regions and more than 11,000 trade delegates from over 60 countries/regions bode well for the secure future that we seek in a sea of uncertainties. Your commitment to set aside time to build networks, forge partnerships and participate in conversations will help propel us towards transformation and progress. Exhibitors and trade delegates can look forward to transformative solutions at What’s Next and its inaugural IMDEX Asia Innovation Challenge, which will feature promising start ups from Australia, Canada, Finland, Israel, Singapore, Switzerland and the USA presenting their solutions to critical naval and defence industry challenges in the areas of artificial intelligence, ship operations, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and sustainability. And we are indebted to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Singapore Institute of Technology, the Singapore University of Technology and Design and Rolls-Royce for their generosity to share and equip our next generation of talents with knowledge that will guide their paths towards a career in the naval and maritime industry at our Talent Campus. I would like to thank our stakeholders, partners, exhibitors, delegates and visitors for your support. And to our loyal vendors and dedicated staff who made IMDEX Asia 2023 possible, thank you. I wish you a rich and rewarding time at IMDEX Asia 2023. |
